HP Tablet WebOS Officially Launched

Hewlett Packard (HP) finally merged into one competitor of iPad. After the company introduced their first webOS tablet widely to the public which named TouchPad.

Touchpad Tablet comes in a special ceremony held in San Francisco, which theme of “Reckon Huge. Reckon Small. Reckon Beyond“. In that event the specification of TouchPad has told. So how did this touchpad?

HP brings their first tablet with a 9.7-inch screen size, or nearly the same as the iPad. The screen has a resolution of 1024 x 768 pixels resolution. Its dimensions are 240mm x 190mm x 13.7mm with a weight of about 740 grams.

Touchpad armed with Qualcomm Snapdragon processor dual-core 1.2GHz, 512MB RAM. Meanwhile, the affairs of storage space webOS tablet comes in two models of the 16GB and 32GB.


There is also a 1.3 MP front camera for video calls, touchpad also use 6300mAh battery that is claimed to hold up to 8 hours. For connection, the touchpad has wifi wifi 802.11b/g/n, Bluetooth and SIM card slot for broadband connections. MicroUSB port is also pinned to exchange data via a cable.

Despite confident using webOS which is the result of HP’s acquisition of Palm, the tablet is quite success brings a variety of applications. Applications that embed in it are quite a lot, including TIME magazine, Sports Illustrated, Mad Birds and Facebook in addition to applications Amazon Kindle e-reader. This device also features Flash 10.1 to play videos on Youtube.

Unfortunately, not told how much the price will be priced by HP to throw its products to consumers. But clearly, this tablet will be available in mid-2011.
